SAME GREAT COMPETITION, WITH A TWIST!
The Mine Rescue Competition is scheduled for Thursday, March 7th and 8th, with the same great competition as before. However, NEW for 2024 the Tennessee Mine Rescue Association will be hosting FIRE, EMS, RESCUE, and students from the area colleges and services on March 6th, as they compete in their own competition.
2023 Southeast Regional Mine Rescue Contest
We are excited to announce the dates for the 2023 Southeast Regional Mine Recuse Contest. Hosting both Coal and Metal Non-Metal Teams, this contest provides networking, team building, excellent training, and National level problems to help teams prepare for the National stage. This contest has progressed over the years adding realistic training and challenging events.
There will be two days of field competition for both Coal and Metal-Non-Metal teams. Tech, Bench, and First Aid will all be together on last day. All fields will be utilizing the 2023 Rules for their respective division.
We also plan on having a team building Iron Man challenge for those teams who may be interested; this will be similar to the International format.
Mine Rescue Day
October 30th is Mine Rescue Day – a day to honor the dedication and sacrifice of volunteers who risk their own lives to save other miners. Join us in honoring all of our Mine Rescue team members across Tennessee.
2021 Southeast Regional Mine Rescue Competition
The Tennessee Mine Rescue Association is excited to host the 2021 Southeast Regional Mine Rescue Competition!
The contest will be held at the Field of Dreams Activity Center in Dandridge, TN.
We hope to see everyone there and, in efforts to keep teams and staff safe during the ongoing pandemic, strict COVID-19 guidelines will be followed for the contest. This training event will help teams prepare for Nationals while also preparing for potential real-life events.
